Here’s how Jope Hip & Joint helps him bounce back faster after big days, and stay in the sport he loves for more seasons. Whether he’s 3 and flying, or 10 and still competing.

Every sport dog’s story can go 2 ways

In one, the slowdown creeps in.

- A limp after ball play that’s gone by the next day.

- A little longer to recover after a full day of competition.

- Then come fewer runs. Lower jumps.

- And one day, he’s watching from the sidelines.

But there’s another reality.

- One where he’s still competing at 10.

- Still running 5 days a week at nearly 11.

- Still bouncing back after a big weekend.

Both are real Jope dogs.

You’ll meet them below.

So what makes the difference?

The difference starts inside his joints

Every jump, landing and tight turn puts force through his cartilage.

Over time, that causes tiny bits of wear.
And his body can start seeing that worn cartilage as a threat, and go after it.

Together, those can slowly show up as stiff mornings and slower bounce backs.

Nobody wants the answer to be less sport.

And it doesn’t have to be.

What’s really inside most joint chews

Most sport dog parents start with a joint chew.

And on the surface, most look great.

Long ingredient lists. Big promises on the bag.

But look closer, and glucosamine is usually the main ingredient.

And in studies in dogs with joint problems, glucosamine didn’t do better than a placebo.

So here’s what Jope Hip & Joint does differently.

It leaves glucosamine out.

And it’s made with UC-II® instead.

Tested on dogs who run

Glucosamine targets the wear. UC-II® targets the second part: his body’s reaction.

It teaches his body to recognize his cartilage as his own, and not go after it.

And it’s been tested on dogs like him.

Take these 2 studies for example.

In both, 40 healthy Labradors ran twice a week, building up to 1 long 16 km run.

Half got UC-II®. Half got a placebo.

The UC-II® dogs kept a faster average pace.

They were rated more comfortable after their runs, and less stiff after lying down.

And after the 16 km run, only the placebo dogs showed a rise in a marker of cartilage breakdown.

People saw it too.

In 2 studies in active adults, knees got more flexible on UC-II® than on a placebo.

These studies tested UC-II® itself.
Jope Hip & Joint is made with it.

Meet the dogs who are still going

Remember the 2 dogs from earlier?

Here they are, with more sport dogs on Jope, from agility to search and rescue.

I have noticed a difference in my competitive Agility dog

He is 10 years old and has had a few pulls, and lameness from performing agility. I have had him on Jope continuously for 5 months and he is definately moving better and recovering from a full day of competion quicker. He loves the taste as well.

Barriger R.

My arthritic 13 year old dog.

My 58 pound dog is almost 13 years old and has severe arthritis of her hips and elbows. I feel Jope has improved her mobility and agility. She takes the chew readily and has been getting it for about 4 months twice a day.

Too young? Too late?

Now, we already know what you’re thinking.

“He’s young and fit. He doesn’t need a joint chew yet.”

Or, “He’s 10. Isn’t it a bit late?”

But hear us out.

The Labradors in those studies were healthy dogs, aged 5 to 12.

And the agility dog above?

He’s 10. So it’s not too late, and starting earlier is even better

Here’s what starting looks like

Give him his soft chews every day.

“He loves the taste as well,” says the agility dog’s parent.

Somewhere between 3 weeks and 3 months, you start to notice the little things.

Easier mornings.
A quicker bounce back after a trial weekend.

And that’s when his age starts to feel like just a number.

My yellow lab Bella is about to turn 11

My yellow lab Bella is about to turn 11. As with most dogs of this breed, their ability to get up from laying down and walking become difficult. And while she is slow and deliberate with her gait, there has been improvement since we began giving her Jope several months ago. She’s still able to jump up onto the bed and even able to jump into the car, even after walking. That’s why I’ll continue giving her the chewable as directed.

Joint protection after surgery

Our lab was diagnosed with severe bilateral hip dysplasia and underwent two FHO surgeries before the age of 2. We are using Jope to assist with his joint health going forward. His new gait after surgery puts added pressure on his other healthy joints. Since starting Jope, we have eliminated all pain relief prescriptions and as you can see, he LOVES his sniff walks three times a day with no pain! Prior to Jope, he would show signs of soreness after a long walk. He is now easily tolerating three walks a day and building his strength and stamina!
